Seiko

Kintaro Hattori was a 22 years old entrepreneur in central Tokyo, opened a shop selling and repairing watches and clocks. In 1892, he established the ‘Seikosha’ factory and started to produce wall clocks. Just three years later, he successfully created a pocket watch named the Timekeeper. From that, Seiko had become one of the world’s most important manufacturers of timepieces. What’s more remarkable is that Seiko was the first in creating Japan’s wristwatch in 1913 named the Laurel. Throughout their creation journey, Seiko never failed in producing classic and unique watches. Seiko’s signature piece was launched in 1960 with the aim of representing the pinnacle of Seiko’s excellence in mechanical watchmaking. Furthermore, it is to deliver more accuracy, legibility and durability. Today, Seiko had several range of watches accordingly to their specific functions such as the Astron, Prospex, Presage, Seiko 5 Sports and the Seiko Premier collection.
